​Mary Ma is Co-founder and Managing Partner of Boyu Capital since 2011.  

During 2007-2011, Mary was the Partner of TPG Capital and co-Chairman of TPG China where she primarily focused on investments in the Greater China region. 

Before joining TPG, Mary Ma was the Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Lenovo Group.  Mary Ma served the Lenovo Board as Non-Executive Vice Chairman during 2007-2013 and has been re-designated to an Independent Non-Executive Director since November 7, 2013.  She is also Non-Executive Director of Unilever PLC, Unilever N. V. and Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission.

Mary Ma was appointed as a member of the Listing Committee of The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong during 2009-2013. Mary Ma worked for The Chinese Academy of Sciences before Lenovo.

Mary Ma graduated from Capital Normal University in Beijing, and studied at King's College of the London University in the United Kingdom.
