Robin Li is the co-founder, chairman and chief executive officer of Baidu, Inc.. 

Robin received a Bachelor of Science degree in information management from Peking University in 1991, and a Master of Science degree in computer science from the State University of New York at Buffalo in 1994. After graduation, Robin worked as senior consultant at a subsidiary of Dow Jones and designed the real-time financial information system for the online edition of the Wall Street Journal. In 1996, he applied for a US patent for hyperlink analysis, which numbers among the inventions that shaped today's leading search engine technology.. Robin has long been regarded as one of the world’s top search engine experts. He later joined InfoSeek, an early search engine, as senior engineer. 

In the 15 years since founding Baidu in January 2000, Robin has turned the company into China’s largest search engine. In August 2005, Baidu listed on the NASDAQ stock exchange. 

In 2013, Robin became a member of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference. He currently acts as vice chairman of the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce.  Time Magazine has repeatedly put Robin’s on the lists of “World’s 100 Most Influential People.”
