William A. Haseltine

Dr. William A. Haseltine is a professor, an entrepreneur, an author, a scientist, a patron of arts, and an advisor for the government. He is also the Chairman and President of ACCESS Health International and the Chair of U.S. – CHINA Health Summit. In 2001, Dr. Haseltine was named by Time Magazine as one of the world's 25 most influential business people, and in 2015, he was named by Scientific American Worldview’s “The Worldview 100” as one of the top one hundred visionaries who continues to reshape biotechnology – and the world. Dr. Haseltine was a professor at Harvard Medical School and Harvard School of Public Health from 1976 to 1993, where he founded and chaired two academic research departments, namely the Division of Biochemical Pharmacology and the Division of Human Retrovirology. He is well known and well respected for his pioneering work in the fields of cancer, HIV/AIDS, and genomics.
